I am gathering you are a Christian artist (or spiritually inclined) so I will share this with you. A while back, I wrote in a journal entry that when I painted to God's glory, and when I lived my life in reflection to Him, I felt as though God was giving me these beautiful colors to paint with. As though God Himself was the paints I brushed onto canvas. I felt this for a long time until one day God revealed to me that it was in fact quite the opposite! In the moments that I fully surrendered my gifts and talents, submitting my life at His feet, I was a color of splendid beauty on HIS brush for God to paint with and make wonderful art. For we are His creation, and he longs to paint with us every day.
Hope your sad mood doesn't last too long! (If you don't paint perhaps you could apply it as being film in God's camera? .. wait, no, I doooooon't think that works..)

i know what you mean. well basically my art is still MY art, like im using the talent God gave me to produce it, but it's for his glory. And i understand that its my talent that sees what to photograph or feels what to paint, but in the case of taking photos, its like what im actually taking a photo of is something God has created, and so the glory is his. i dont know if that makes sense.

Keep your art beautiful and always remain humble.

completely. You certainly have a talent. Do you alter your images in Photoshop afterwards to get such amazing light and color? Or do just have a crazy kick ass camera and a miraculous ability to catch scenery at the right time of day/ exposure/and all that other technical stuff that lends to a great photo that I haven't the faintest on?
PS~ Cool to know one more Aussie!
